Chinese New Year

Well, this is my 1st post after something had happened to my own personal blog * *shakes fist >_<** T_T my poor bloggie!! What had happened?? Who did this to you?? T_T….Luckily I had my twin who is kind enough to offer to share his blog with me. Ah! Enough of grumbling cut the crap... look on da bright side ^^ It's Chinese New Year 2008, the year of rat. Parents were busy with all the New Year preparations as usual. Throughout the whole process of there were some paintings going on, some minor adjustments of furniture, and some huge humongous decorations on every part of the house. The Chinese New Year that is celebrated for about fifteen days is one moment in the year .The Chinese New Year gets determined by the lunar calendar and therefore it is sometimes called the Lunar New Year. In 2008, the Chinese Lunar Year Festival would start from 7th of February. It's the time where people enjoy together with their near and dear ones and a feast with their family members on the Lunar New Year's Eve. Although with the changing times and increasing mobility of the people the celebration of Chinese New Year Festival has undergone some changes, everybody still very fervently follow all the customs that their elders have taught them.


The whole house was turned into some sort of traditional Chinese village. The whole house was partially red in color and I can see piles and piles of food being arranged at the corner just for the visitors. For the first time, I did not go back to hometown this year. My dad has fall sick all a sudden and I offered myself to drive but my dad insist on not letting me to drive his old car. Then mum fall sick at the same time and now I'm falling sick too XD.*sneeze* So what can I do, ha-ha. Just stay here and shake legs doing nothing. Hmm, this year there is something different. To be frank I don't really enjoy CNY as much as people do. Every year it's just the same old routine of going back hometown, eat together and rush back home during midnight. I can't feel any strong bond within each family member. If I were given a chance to choose. I rather stay here, just like right now and celebrate it with my twin and my parents only^^.
