a moment to remember

This is a night i shall remember.

After done packing the room, there were nudges on msn from the team asking about assignments; slowly one by one i try my best to response in different languages. Then while waiting for them to reply, i start to doing my discrete math..

While deliberating about assignments in msn, i received a call to collect some stuff. Without thinking, i dash out from the room. I turn the door knob and pressed the lock button.The worst thing is....i didn't realize until i came back to my room and start searching my pocket for keys...

Then only i remember, i left without my keys nor my cell phone.. It's now 11.30 pm and the accommodation office is shut. What should i do now? Prepare myself to sleep outside my room for the whole night until the AO office open at 10am?

After spending 30 minutes sitting there, stunned by my own idiocy. The lady guard pass by. After telling her what happened. She was my life saviour; they actually have a bunch of master keys in all the hostel blocks kept in a safety box. We waited quite long for the keys to be delivered to us, then at 1.35am.. The men came and pass us the carved metal object that would spare me form sleeping outside the hallway tonight. I was very grate full to them but i have nothing to give in return, the only way i can express my gratitude was to thank them over and over again.

how can i make such stupid mistakes, i was laughing at myself after thinking about what happened, realizing how much of an scatter-brained i was, I don't really know what i am doing nowadays.. i better find ways to prevent this from happening again..
